Well there have been several trips since our last post. We are still taking "field trip Fridays" and have been all over the state this summer. Our latest and greatest trip however was to Damascus Virginia and a visit to the "creeper trail". It is a 32 mile abandoned train track that has been converted into a hiking, biking, and horse trail. Our family as well as my sister and her family did a 17 mile portion on Labor Day. It was a great day and we all had a wonderful time. The majority of the trail ran downhill so it wasn't as hard as it sounds, however the last 3 or 4 miles just about wore poor Nathan down. He did it though and we were all proud of him!
